A gorgeous spa on the west coast of Sweden, a stone's throw from Gothenburg city

Arken Hotel & Art Garden Spa is approximately 12 km from Gothenburg city centre, in the direction of Torslanda. Just follow the signs towards Oslo and Hisingen, a quick and easy route that will bring you right to our doorstep. Our car park is free and can accommodate 500 cars and additional spaces for electric cars with charging stations.

A spa focused on relaxation

Let keywords such as tranquillity and harmony be your lodestar during your visit. Speak in hushed tones and move slowly and deliberately. If you prefer a particularly calm visit, we encourage you to come a weekday as we have fewer guests and the spa is especially peaceful. To make sure all our guests can disconnect from the world outside and also to respect everyone's integrity and privacy, we have a strict mobile-free spa policy. Over 15s only apart from during school holidays.

Ablution

Start your visit with a few minutes of meditative cleansing in our beautiful ablution room. While you scrub away in silence and clean your body with our gorgeous spa products, you will find that they rinse away both stress and draining thoughts.

Bathing & sauna

At Art Garden Spa, you can choose between several different experiences such as hot springs, a chilly plunge pool, jacuzzi and experience shower. Coupled with our extensive sauna oasis and hot outdoor pool, you will have a whole world of restorative water and warm, pleasant steam.

Rest & relaxation

We have several delightful, tranquil oases specifically designed for rest & relaxation. Every room has been named after a season. Listen to your inner rhythm and choose what suits you at that particular moment. Relax for a while in our light therapy room or re-energize and re-balance your body in our peaceful dark therapy room.

Gym at Art Garden Spa

Gym

Our gym is well-equipped with exercise bikes, easy-to-use machines and free weights, which makes it easily accessible and should provide a good workout for anyone of any fitness level. The gym is located next to the Art Garden Spa and is open daily between 6am and 9pm. Over 15s only.

Activities

Our activity classes are inspired by Eastern philosophy. Why not try something new and discover new energy and vitality with yoga or meditation. The current timetable is available for you on site.

Opening hours at Art Garden Spa

Regular opening hours

  • Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–10 p.m.
  • Saturday–Sunday 8 a.m.–10 p.m.

Please note that the opening hours may vary during the summer months and on bank holidays. Please contact us on +46 (0)31-726 25 00 for specific, up-to-date opening hours.

The hot spring terrace

  • Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and 3 p.m.–10 p.m.
  • Friday 9 a.m.–12 and 2 p.m.–10 p.m.
  • Saturday–Sunday 8 a.m.–10 p.m.

The spa is staffed every day between 9am and 9pm.

Age limit

Art Garden Spa only admits guests that are 15 years or older, apart from during school holidays when we open up for the whole family to come and visit.
