Yoga, meditation or gym – join our activities

The activity sessions take place in our activity room, where the decor and colors are inspired by the element EARTH – which stands for strength and balance. It’s calm and quiet, and you work out barefoot in soft clothes.

We offer different sessions every day. No prior knowledge is required for our activity sessions. The current schedule is available on site.

Activities are free for hotel and spa guests. Registration is done on site the same day, at least 15 minutes before the start of the session.

Drop-in for other guests subject to availability Monday-Thursday.

Prices for drop-in:

  • 30-45 minute pass – 175 SEK
  • 60-75 minute pass – 225 SEK
  • Gym – 200 SEK

Example of Classes

Hatha yoga

Classical Hatha yoga, the most famous style of yoga. The static positions of Hatha yoga build strength and flexibility in the muscles. These postures are combined with breathing and visualization exercises as well as a short meditation to achieve balance in body and mind. In Sanskrit, the syllable ‘ha’ means sun, male energy and yang. ‘tha’ means moon, female energy and yin. Hatha yoga is said to balance the sun and moon energies.

Gong Meditation

Healing sounds of gongs during lying meditation. Experience how tensions release, your body and mind become calmer.

Yoga Nidra meditation

A lying down meditation where you allow your body to fully relax. A meditation class suitable for everyone, whether you have meditated before or not.

Yin yoga

A soft form of yoga where we do not work anything muscular but only with stretch and connective tissue. Each position is held for several minutes to create stillness in the body and to access the connective tissue. Yin stands for softness and stillness, in this class we relax and accept the present.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a meditation in conscious presence. We work with a variety of techniques to bring attention to the present moment. This is the meditation technique that has been most researched and approved as an effective treatment method in healthcare.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a meditative deep relaxation where your body is allowed to rest and recover while your mind is awake. A technique to explore and rest in the borderland between wakefulness and sleep.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa means breath-synchronized movement. In this class, breathing interacts with positions to create a dynamic flow. Each position flows in unison with the breath. The class can vary from a slow and gentle flow to a dynamic and sweaty session.

LymphYoga

Lymphatic yoga is more than just movement – it’s a way to increase your wellbeing through breath and movement. During these classes we will, among other things, do self-massage and movements that help to support the lymph and speed up the lymph flow. The class is for everyone who wants a functioning lymphatic system and increased well-being.

Gym intro for members

Suitable for those who are new to the gym and need help getting started. A PT will show you around the gym and help you set up the machines.

Outdoor circuit training

Here we train the whole body at different stations and with different weights in our natural gym. For example, we do basic exercises such as deadlifts, squats, shoulder press, bench press and abdominal exercises.

A station-based circuit workout in our gym where the focus is on increasing your strength and fitness. An effective workout for the whole body.

Practice yoga in Gothenburg

As an Art Garden Spa member, you can go to yoga and various fitness classes as much as you want on weekdays.

In addition, you have access to all that the Art Garden Spa has to offer in the form of beautiful baths, relaxation and a gym to help you recover from everyday life.
